He married twice. He married Ida Abigail Gilbert. Ida was born 27 Aug 1870. Ida died 24 Nov 1892 at 22 years of age. He married Anna Kelley in Of, Wilton, Connecticut, 29 Aug 1888. Anna was born in Of, Wilton, Connecticut Abt 1868.

Albert Reed Sterling and Anna Kelley had the following child:

1947 i. Charles Earl¹⁰ Sterling was born in Of, Wilton, Connecticut 4 Mar 1902.
